Update....finally!

Well since my last post we have been back to the GI doctor and then sent to the surgeon and as of now the surgeon does not want to do corrective surgery on the malrotation. He wants us to do further testing on her reflux and then if she needs surgery for that then he will do the malrotation correction (Ladd's procedure). He says that most people will go their whole lives never knowing they have this condition and since we live so close to doctors/hospitals and know what the signs are of an obstruction that it is not worth putting her through surgery for only this. So we are waiting to hear back from the GI doctor on a time for an endoscopy with biopsies of the esphoghus and stomach and PH testing. These tests will verify weather the reflux has done any damage. So we are still in limbo, she still continues to fight eating, although she does have her good days. But in the meantime I might start going bald from the frustration.

Since the girls are identical the doctor had me take Alison in for the Upper GI test to see if she also has malrotation. I took her this morning and she was a trooper for it, she actually drank 2.5 oz of the barium from a bottle and just whimpered through the test. Like night and day with Lauren and Alison. At least I am not suffereing PTSD after her test :0)

On to happier things....Taylor turned 5 on Friday and we spent the day at Disneyland. We had a great time and Taylor got to meet all her favorite princesses again. Here she is with Ariel, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty (her very favorite).

Then on Saturday we celebrated with Grandma Marla, Uncle Ryan and Aunt Shauna.

And for her last celebration....we took her and her best friend Jessica to Build-A-Bear and out for dinner. They had great fun...I have downloaded those photos yet. But I will leave you with a picture of our whole family.
